What a fun party! Do you know what pattern your friend used to make the aprons and how many pizza pans you had? Thanks!

Awww, you guys! Thanks for the kind words! I think this was our most cost friendly birthday party yet, with things borrowed, handmade things, etc. Very doable and hope every reader can take away something from it!

There is something so girlie and simple about cake stands! I just love them! I dream of a collection of white cake stands lined up on a giant antique buffet in front of a dark gray wall in my dining room. So far I have on Rosanna cake stand but it is a start!

I love it!! I have a serious obsession with cake stands, too - I even did a Wish List Post about them a few weeks ago {http://bit.ly/auplru}! Thanks for filling us in on all the other great companies with gorgeous stands :o)

Oh I LOVE this post. :) I too have a love for cake stands. Every time we walk in Star Provisions I drool over the varieties and dream of Rosemary's first cake sitting on one. ;) All of these are just gorgeous!

So sweet and beautiful. Apparently we like all the same things. :)
I just hosted a baby shower for a dear friend at our home on Sunday. The theme was built around birds while using vintage-type decor and being as eco-friendly as possible, seeing as the guest of honor owns a business based on making homes more earth friendly. :)
We hired a photographer (a friend) to document it and I will share photos soon. It was so lovely!
(And yes, I agree on the bdays. They were HUGE deal for me growing up - and still are - so I am continuing the tradition. Love this post!)

Love this post! I was just in the midst of creating a ribbon/trim wall in my "craft closet" & was thinking about displaying everything on dowels/rods, but the shelves are awfully cool! I know the last time I was at The Knitting Mill (here in Chattanooga), I saw quite a few of these wooden spools. There is also a floral shop in Chicago (A New Leaf), that has an awesome selection of ribbons & trims in thier basement... they usually have a fun selection as well.

Joy - these spools are fun - I am wondering if you have seen any old-time wooden spools in your antique hunting? The variety of sizes are particularly interesting when mixed with newer versions. My sister had quite a collection!
