In 2002 Garrett & Joy Nudd photographed their first wedding in Chattanooga, TN. The following year they moved to Orlando, Florida as part of a corporate move. In Orlando their photography business took off.
In 2005, their daughter Graycen was born and they also launched their photo blog: The business continued to flourish and in 2006 the decision became clear for Garrett to leave behind his job. That fall they sold their home in Orlando and returned to Chattanooga where they opened their first commercial studio space.
Over the next couple years, wedding assignments took Garrett & Joy across the globe, photographing in France, Italy, Scotland, Norway, Switzerland, the Caribbean and from coast to coast throughout the States.
Inspired by their multiple trips to Europe, Garrett and Joy were captivated most by the charm of Paris. The fashion, the shopping, the food, the art and architecture, the storefront boutiques and everything that the city offers. As they had been contemplating the launch of a new portrait brand for months, thoughts of Paris continued to surface.
So in 2007, Cobblestone Rue, a couture portrait studio, was born.  Since then, Garrett & Joy have continued to attract a discerning portrait clientele from Florida to New York and everywhere in between.
In 2008, they opened their storefront studio for Cobblestone Rue, and in 2009, Garrett & Joy added a second daughter, Campbell.
Today Garrett & Joy continue to run Cobblestone Rue and Garrett Nudd Photography, while Joy spends the majority of her “work” time editing They are frequent speakers and instructors at photography conventions and workshops around the country. In 2013, Joy opened up little rue: unique party goods. An extension of the cobblestone rue brand, she now curates her favorite party supplies and is now available in the studio!
